Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs the Rapper Faces Judgment Subsequent to Federal Prostitution Conviction
Sean Combs will stand before a US district judge in New York City Friday morning to learn his fate subsequent to his guilty verdict this year on charges related to prostitution.

Upon his acquittal of those claims, he reportedly knelt down in prayer. His lawyer remarked that he had “received his life back”.

However, the findings of guilt he did receive each still carry a possible of a decade behind bars according to the federal Mann Act, which prohibits crossing state lines to enable sex work.
Prosecutors describe the conduct as serious crimes, whereas the legal defense has rejected the charges as “secondary” allegations that ought not to have advanced.
New Information
Reports suggest that he aims to address to the judge prior to the penalty is delivered, even though declining to testify throughout the court case.
In a request lodged last week, his lawyers requested that he be authorized to be present in “non-prison clothing” at the proceeding, like he had throughout the court case when he wore sweaters and collared shirts.
“The sentencing proceeding holds significant importance for Mr. Combs,” the letter stated. “He wants to face the Court, speak to the court, and speak in the most respectful and proper way attainable.”

Differing punishments remain under consideration, as the government and defense have offered suggestions guided by federal sentencing rules, while the ultimate ruling belongs to the court.
Prosecutors is advocating for a minimum of eleven years and three months incarcerated – that’s over a decade – calling Combs “showing no remorse” and highlighting violence and intimidation that those who testified described.
The defense team are seeking no more than just over a year, which considering time served would allow Combs to be released by the end of 2025. They contend that his sentence has already been adequate for what they say was consensual sex with hired performers.
Probation officials, in the meantime, estimated that the guideline range could reach as much as seven years and three months.
